Geography and Climate of Barbados

Barbados is an island-nation located east of the Caribbean Sea and west of the Atlantic Ocean. It is made up of 300 feet of plunges and corals that form chains of terraces in the west. Coral reefs that are home to a plethora of marine life surrounds this relatively small island, which is mainly driven by its robust tourism sector. Barbados capital is Bridgetown while its major towns include Oistins, Holetown and Speightstown.

The weather can't be more perfect in Barbados which is virtually sunny all year.  Dry season is from December to May while wet season is from June to November. While the island does have a hurricane season, experts have long marvelled at the uncanny ability of Barbados to deflect most hurricanes coming its way. In fact, Barbados is so hurricane-free that you can only expect one to come in every 26 years. The last hurricane to deal damage to this dazzling Caribbean island arrived more than 50 years ago.
